LOS ANGELES, CA — Armed and Dangerous, a feel-good-action-comedy, is set to release during blockbuster season 2018. The film follows James Brick (Kevin Hart), a gritty Chicago detective who is forced to pair up with world-renowned art thief turned special investigator, Benton Kingsley (Anthony Hopkins), after a priceless relic is stolen from the Art Institute of Chicago. Hart and Hopkins, or H² as they’ve dubbed themselves in Hart’s Instagram posts, are “playing very nicely off each-other — they have great chemistry, not only in the comedic scenes, but in the action sequences as well — I don’t want to jump the gun, but I think we have an instant classic on our hands,” says director Antoine Fuqua, who also directed Training Day , and The Magnificent Seven (2016).
